When you host, choose Private (code or QR only) or Unlisted (anyone with the link). There is no public option on create — Open Contests is only for official NBG Arena rooms.

Yes. Hosts get a door poster on the room page — QR plus the code. Point your phone camera at it (or tap Scan a poster in My Rooms). You land on the door, sign in if needed, and you’re in.

Private rooms stay off the public list. The poster is the invite.

Log in, open Create a Room, name it, set the window, add a crest if you want, and send people in. Hosting is free. You can have 10 open rooms at a time — close one to host another. Closed rooms keep their scores.

Yes. Open the room, Host console, Close room. New players cannot join and nobody can play more rounds. The leaderboard, names, and session scores stay. Closing also frees a host slot if you are at the 10-room cap. You can reopen it later if the play window is still open and you are under the cap.

Public rooms ranked by heat this week — games played, new joins, members, points. Nobody pins the list. Loud rooms rise.

My Rooms lists contests you host or joined. The public floor is always on Open Contests.

Hit Join Arena, add your name, username, email, date of birth (you must be 13+), and a password, then verify the email. After that you can play, host, and show up on boards.

So one person stays one account. You can look around first. Ranked play, hosting, and showing on boards need a verified inbox.

Yes. From the Arena, open Profile for name, country, school or workplace, and avatar.

Date of birth locks after the first save — if you mistyped it, contact us before you play ranked.

Use Forgot password on the login page. We’ll send a reset link. Check spam if it doesn’t land.

We stream from the studio. YouTube plays on this site. TikTok opens in the app — they don’t allow a live iframe. Same night, same questions. Stars stay on official public contests; if that night has a real pot, it is published on the show.

Stars are the worldwide reward for official public contests. You earn them for finishing a round, with extras for a strong or perfect ten. Spend them on extra ranked plays the same day — the catalogue is the same in every country. Stars are not cash, gift cards, or shipping.

Yes — on the broadcast, not in every public room. Official contests worldwide pay in Stars. When a night is on air, that show can publish a pot (gift cards, merch, travel, a brand pack) paid by a sponsor. A small set of winners — hot seat, finals ten, or the board that night — is listed on the show. Eligibility lives in that night’s rules (age, region if the sponsor needs it), not in a room host’s console.
